Where Should I Begin?

This is my first ever blog, in fact, I had to google the definition of

blog, because I had heard of the word, but never knew exactly what it meant. Suffice it to say, that after enough research, I fully understand the 21st century term.

I'm an illustrator. The kind that draws on paper. I use software to enhance my illustrations, but software for me is just a tool, not the main event. As captivating and as esoteric as software programs can be, it will never replace good, old fashioned, hand rendered drawing, or be nearly as emotionally satisfying for me. A hand drawing, using traditional tools, has energy in the strokes, thus showing personal mood and expression. Digital drawing always looks machine made. Its cold, its lines are perfect and lifeless. Imperfection is what makes hand drawings beautiful. It has a soul.
